Lookahead Schedule

What is a Lookahead Schedule?

A short-term, detailed plan covering the next 2-6 weeks — a zoomed-in view of what’s coming up next, extracted from the master programme.

Lookahead Schedule

Why it matters

The master schedule tells you where the project is heading over months; the lookahead tells your supervisors what needs to happen this week and next. It turns a high-level programme into an actionable to-do list, and it’s typically the document used to drive weekly planning meetings, coordinate trades, and flag near-term constraints — materials, access, permits, isolations, or vessel/logistics windows depending on the sector — before they become delays
